An American woman who claims to have been exploited by British Prince Andrew at the age of 17 filed a lawsuit against him yesterday (Monday).
Virginia Joffre, who was one of the complainants against sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, claims she was sexually assaulted by Queen Elizabeth's son in London and New York.
The lawsuit was filed under a New York law for the protection of child victims, which allows them to file lawsuits against their attackers.
Prince Andrew has denied her allegations since she slammed them in 2019.
Even after her lawsuit, he insisted on his innocence.
"I continue to unequivocally regret my friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. His suicide left many unresolved questions, especially for his victims, and I have deep sympathy for anyone who is hurt and wants to close a circle. I can only hope, in time, they can "Rehabilitate their lives. Of course, I am willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency in its investigations."

In a lawsuit filed in New York, it was alleged that Prince Andrew and his deputies rejected requests to provide "facts, context or any explanation he has, and to look for alternative approaches to resolving the dispute."
Joffre, formerly known as Virginia Roberts, claims the duke sexually exploited her at the home of Jazlaine Maxwell, who was close to Epstein, and at Epstein's homes in Manhattan and Little St. James' Island.
Maxwell denies the allegations that she collaborated with Epstein on the exploitation of four minors.
Her trial will open in November.
