In celebration of the Syrian Arab Army’s Day, Rowad Al-Salah troupe presented a concert on the stage of the Arab Cultural Center in Tartous entitled “The Victory Operetta”.
The ceremony, which was held this evening, during which the band members presented a bouquet of patriotic songs composed by the artist, Ghiath Kaber, the band’s leader, and whose words were written by a number of the governorate’s poets, namely Ahmed Sobh, Hanan Hassan and Mona Abdel Karim, as “The Song of Tartous, Wawh Tufah al-Shami and Tal al-Sabbah.” They were performed individually by each From Haneen Kaber, Ibtihaj Ali and Anwar Sobh, in addition to the song “The Great Syria” by the Egyptian poet Ahmed Amer, which was presented by Batoul Harfouche.
Ghayath Kaber said in an exclusive statement to SANA that today's ceremony is dedicated to the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army on their great holiday, and it is a symbolic expression of the love and appreciation of every Syrian citizen for the sacrifices this army made, especially during the past ten years.
He added that the concert began with the operetta Al-Nasr, which bore its title, which was presented for the first time and was performed by a group of children of the band, telling the stages of the Syrian victory over terrorism and its supporters, and the sacrifices and heroism offered by this great army, which became the talk of the whole world, considering that this participation is with the rest of the various literary arts in the transfer and characterization of The Syrian situation during the years of war is an important indication of the necessity of presenting the great achievements of this great army in all kinds of arts, to be an ancient and honorable memory in the contemporary history of Syria.
