Two people were taken into custody on Monday August 9 after the discovery the day before of the body of a man shot dead in a Var station, announced by the public prosecutor.

The suspect of the homicide, identified by the investigators, was arrested Monday at the Gare de Lyon, in Paris, "
while he had fled in the company of his partner and his child,
" said the prosecutor of Draguignan, Guy Bouchet, in a press release.
The couple were taken into custody and a judicial investigation should be opened within the next 48 hours, he added.
Sunday, around 5:30 am, the lifeless body of a man, already known to the judicial authority, had been discovered by users of the Arcs-Draguignan SNCF station.
According to the first testimonies, the victim was shot dead by two shots fired by a man, who then fled in a vehicle.
The investigation was entrusted to the services of the research section of the national gendarmerie supported by the staff of the Draguignan research brigade.
