The circumstances are not clear.
This Tuesday evening around 9:30 p.m., a fight took place in the alley of the restaurants of the Fête des Loges in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines).
Two fairgrounds, claiming to have been victims of a theft, attacked a third.
The latter responded by stabbing one of the protagonists, slightly injuring his arm.
“When we arrived it was going all over the place, tables and chairs were flying,” describes a police source.
We did not find a knife but it was a brawl, a general fight.
The showmen at the initiative of this settling of accounts would have mentioned having been the victim of theft of equipment by the neighboring restaurant owner.
But the investigators did not note the disappearance of any material.
They didn't get their hands on the gun either.
"The staff have a strong tendency to alcohol, it can quickly degenerate"
According to a fairground interviewed, the restaurateur with whom the altercation took place has recently arrived this year at the Fête des Loges. “The boss is not here at the moment because he has health problems,” he says. When you see that the staff has a strong tendency to alcohol, it can quickly escalate. However, he mentions the rarity of these incidents. What the police confirm: with the rain and the sanitary pass, the season is particularly calm. “We have never seen that, there has never been a fight between fairgrounds,” said the communication department of the Fête des Loges committee.
The perpetrator of the stab, a 42-year-old man, was taken into custody, while an investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances of the events and the responsibilities of each. "We must watch the videos from the surveillance cameras because at this stage, we do not know exactly what happened", concludes the police source.
