R., a resident of Jerusalem and a 43-year-old mother of five, was arrested yesterday (Monday) following a report to the police of an incident of violence between spouses and was brought with her children to the police station.

According to her, when she arrived at the station parking lot, one of the policemen tucked his hand into her underwear in an attempt to extract a mobile device that she was in possession of and which she refused to pass on to them.

During the hearing to extend her detention in the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, Advocate Lior Kahana, representing the suspect on behalf of the Public Defender's Office, criticized the conduct of the police and wondered before the police claimant: "Can you say why a male policeman pushes his hand into the suspect's penis?" In response, police representative Brigadier General Shlomi Peer said that "this is something that needs to be examined in the appropriate institutions, every case of violence is transferred to DIP."

Another decision that raises questions about the conduct of the police in the incident is the detention of the suspect's two minor children, aged 10 and 13, and their transport in a mobile to the police station, when they allegedly witnessed the entire incident.

"The girl saw the whole case, and said 'a policeman killed my mother', I tried to calm her down. The 13-year-old boy said to me 'Grandma save me, poor mother,'" the suspect's mother claimed.

In a conversation with Walla !, E. her eldest daughter said that "my brothers are heartbroken, their tears have not stopped since the incident. Children at this age should not lose their confidence in the largest organization in the country and say there is no one to trust. They are so sad and can not spend "From the head, the sights they saw and experienced for themselves. I lost faith in the police - they take their power and abuse it."

Following a court decision to extend the mother's detention by two days, an appeal was filed.

However, Jerusalem Magistrate's Court Judge Chaya Zandberg ordered her detention to continue until the end of the investigation, adding that "the allegations raised by the suspect are not simple at all, and in court the court ordered that the matter be referred to DIP."

The whole incident is unusual and was made in the presence of the children due to the enormous difficulty inherent in it, a situation in which a child accompanies the police station is a very difficult and unusual situation. "

The Israel Police responded: "We are sorry for a completely distorted and partial description of the case. Following a report of an incident of violence between a couple of police officers, they arrived at the scene. She had the phone, so she refused and started raving, kicking, pushing and cursing. "

"In view of her violent conduct, the police had to arrest her and the police officers who were at the scene took the phone she had and which she tried to hide, while she continued to insult and oppose the arrest. .
