At the last Corona summit, the further course of action with a view to the pandemic was decided.

Criticism of the results comes from Bavaria.

Munich - On August 10, the prime ministers met for a digital Corona * summit and decided on further measures to combat the corona virus.

However, not all open questions were clarified - some topics were completely ignored.

This triggered harsh criticism from various politicians from the Bavarian state parliament and several stakeholders.

According to Martin Hagen, the chairman of the FDP parliamentary group, the German corona policy is at a dead end.

In his opinion, now is the right time to end the measures, as everyone can now protect themselves with a vaccination.

There is also criticism from the AfD in the state parliament: “People who are skeptical of or reject the vaccination are supposed to be harassed by senseless test obligations,” says the parliamentary group leader Ebner-Steiner.

A split in society into vaccinated and unvaccinated people should be avoided.

After the Corona summit: what about the schools?

Christina Haubrich from the Greens formulates her criticism much more drastically: "The results are really disappointing." According to the health policy spokeswoman for the parliamentary group, the schools and a concept for the desired face-to-face teaching were neglected.

"For example, PCR pool tests at all types of schools would be an extremely important and at the same time simple measure to keep the facilities open," emphasizes the 50-year-old.

Via Twitter posting by the Green Group, she announced:

“The #MPK emphasizes that classroom teaching should take place from autumn, but HOW is not addressed at all.

Wastewater monitoring as an early warning system or PCR pool tests in schools are not even mentioned.

Where is the priority for our children? “@Ch_Haubrich

Resolutions from the Corona summit: the hospitality industry as the scapegoat of the crisis

But not only schools, but also the nursing homes have been forgotten once again, according to the social association VdK.

The association continues to demand free tests * for all visitors and employees, because: "This is the only way to save lives", explains VdK President Verena Bentele.

"The unvaccinated residents are particularly exposed to the risk of infection if we do not continue testing now."

Critical voices are also getting louder and louder from the catering industry.

"The hospitality industry has been a scapegoat since the beginning of the corona crisis," asserts Ursula Zimmermann, the managing director of the Association for the Preservation of Bavarian Tavern Culture (VEBWK).

And further: "This branch accounts for a negligible share in the infections." That is why the association calls for more proportionality in the access rules.

Corona summit: Söder does not give up

Unvaccinated people in particular find these new regulations on compulsory testing and the assumption of costs angry.

But the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder is clear about his opinion.

The CSU boss also brings a 2-G instead of a 3-G rule into play.
