A classic of the electoral campaigns are the jingles and
covers
with the modification of the letter to mention the candidates.
There are cumbias, ballads, rock ... the genre does not matter, but it is a hit that resonates in the head.
Election after election, the repertoire is renewed and now, in José C. Paz, the only district governed by Peronism where there will be inmates, one of Mayor Mario Ishii's men, even released a video with the music of L-Gante.
With a list of 220,806 voters for this year's elections, in José C. Paz, the district in the northwest of the suburbs, the candidates are heading to the PASO of September 12 in
search of the young vote
and in the first days of campaign surprised one of the spots.
It is that of Roque Caggiano, president of the Deliberative Council of that district, who is going to intern with two other lists within the Frente de Todos.
The jingle is only 34 seconds long and the base of session 38 of Bizarrap with L-Gante, the cumbia and hip-hop singer who has been leading YouTube rankings for months.
It began to play on loudspeakers on the streets of the district and also on local radios.
But in addition, the Caggiano militants spread it via WhatsApp and social networks with the
hashtag #AlToqueRoque
and
#VotoAlToqueRoque
, as part of the lyrics of the singer who was mentioned by Cristina Kirchner in an act in Lomas de Zamora several weeks ago.

"For José C. Paz, youth and work, for much more culture and changes in the neighborhoods. Ishii conduction. And I vote for Roque, and with Caggiano we continue en bloc so that all the neighborhoods vote for him, this list that does not has compe (competence) ".

Roque's brother, Roberto, better known as "Roni", is the municipal secretary of works and Ishii's right-hand man.
Having been the first candidate for councilor in 2019, he remained as mayor while Ishii was admitted to intensive care.
The Caggiano have topped the local legislative lists since 2015, and this year they will go internal again.
Caggiano was the first to be hugged by Mario Ishii on leaving the hospital after being hospitalized for coronavirus.
Peronist interns at José C. Paz
Far from that Peronist inmate that ended with Ithaca's shooting and stabbing in 1999, José C. Paz will be the only district in the suburbs governed by the Frente de Todos in which there will be PASO.
Mario Ishii, who was discharged ten days ago after being admitted to intensive care and falling into a coma from the coronavirus, asked all candidates to submit lists.
From the hospital he had indicated to his collaborators that he wanted interns in his district, he even promoted several lists of national and provincial candidates, but his wish was not taken into account in the Nation or Province.
Ishii has a tradition of asking and proposing internal, to the point that in 2011 he competed in the PASO with the then governor Daniel Scioli, who was seeking reelection.
Ishii topped the list "678", took 6.18% of the internal, while Scioli was left with 93.82%.
Now in José C. Paz there will be three lists from the Frente de Tofos.
Caggiano has Ishii's blessing and was the first one he hugged when he left the hospital after covid-19.
In 2017, Caggiano had already topped the Citizen Unity list that garnered 49.55% of the votes, in one of the best opposition elections, when Cambiemos won 30.26%, with Ezequiel Pazos, as the first candidate for councilor.

In the internal, the candidate who has the music of L-Gante will compete with two other Peronist lists.
One is headed by Mariana Ávila, head of the local ANSeS and partner of the provincial deputy of La Cámpora, José Pérez.
While the other takes Rodrigo Barrios as the first candidate, a reference of social movements and away from the Ishii structure.
Other popular jingles
In 2011, Ricardo Alfonsín, current Argentine ambassador to Spain, ran for president against Cristina Fernández de Kirchner as a candidate for the Radical Civic Union and one of his jingles was with a cumbia song from the group La Champions Liga, to which they changed the lyrics for
"I did not cheat on you, I did not lie to you, I was in the campaign with Ricardo Alfonsín"
.
Another paradox was created by the activism of Cambiemos in 2019. They also chose another hit by Damas Gratis and Viru Kumbieron.
When María Eugenia Vidal was seeking reelection in the Province of Buenos Aires, the song that sounded in that campaign was "You are going to miss me."
Another catchy jingle was launched by part of Sergio Massa's militancy, in May 2019, when there were rumors about the approach of the leader of the Renewal Front to Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
Paradoxically, the adapted song that they put together was the success of Damas Gratis and Viru Kumbieron: "Don't think you're so important."
