Forest fires ravage various parts of Bolivia and Peru | Video | CNN

In Bolivia, more than 147,000 hectares have been destroyed by the 15,000 fire outbreaks registered so far this year in the department of Santa Cruz.

Authorities and volunteers have been fighting several active fires since the weekend and the government reported that they maintain 50 points in five municipalities.

Likewise, other parts of the region —such as Cusco, Peru— are also the scene of forest fires.
