The appointment of Ahmad Vahidi, one of the Iranians accused of blowing up the AMIA, as Iran's new interior minister, shook the victims of the attack, generated a condemnation from the Argentine Foreign Ministry and now draws criticism from the Israeli ambassador in the country .
The rejection of Argentina and Israel comes hours after the new Iranian president,
Ebrahim Raisi
, presented his cabinet before Parliament, made up of predominantly conservative and male-only officials, including
a minister claimed by Argentina
for the AMIA attack. , according to a list published this Wednesday by the Government that anticipates the official announcement that will be on Saturday.
Vahidi is pointed out by the Argentine Justice as
responsible for participating in the planning of the attack
, and an
extradition request
weighs on him
so that he can be presented before the Argentine courts.
That claim was ratified by Interpol, which issued red alerts, calling the international search for Vahidi a top priority.

Criticism of the Government
Earlier, the Foreign Ministry managed by Felipe Solá expressed its "strongest condemnation" of the appointment of Ahmad Vahidi through a statement.
"Argentina expresses once again its strongest condemnation of the nomination of Ahmad Vahidi to a ministerial post in Iran," the official statement said.
"The Argentine Republic states that the new nomination of Ahmad Vahidi to occupy a position in the Iranian government, in this case as Minister of the Interior,
constitutes an affront
to the Argentine justice and to the victims of the brutal terrorist attack against the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association ( AMIA) ", continued part of the note.
The new conservative president in Iran
took office last Thursday
, after comfortably winning the June 18 elections, which had a record abstention, and succeeded the moderate Hassan Rohani.
In turn, the designated foreign minister of Iran, Hosein Amir Abdollahian, is a man close to groups in the region allied to Tehran, such as the Lebanese Hezbollah, and is the author of several articles on Iranian foreign policy for the site of the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He was also one of Tehran's envoys to negotiate with US officials regarding the security situation in Iraq, within the framework of a joint committee based in Baghdad.
