Was it because of the anniversary celebrating the 200th birthday of Sebastian Kneipp? Or in general about the joy of being able to do something for your health again with other people? Renate Wagner, the chairwoman of the Starnberg Kneipp association, does not have an answer. But what she does know: She has never seen such a rush on the club's big day of action as this Sunday.

Starnberg

- "At least 80 people" came to the Kneipp facility at the Mühlbergschlössl, reports Renate Wagner to Starnberger Merkur.

“I barely kept up with looking and talking.” Because the visitors needed a lot of information: about the facility, what is on offer, about the club and the program.

Wagner and her fellow board members were happy to provide information and were pleased about the interest - also in the activities on site. “There was a lot of treading water,” reported the chairwoman. "Some visitors also tried the balancing path and used the stretching device." Members of the association had set up a rich buffet for this - from coffee and cake to hearty delicacies, wine, beer and apple juice. Anyone interested in the Kneipp association can find everything worth knowing and the program on the website kneippverein-starnberg.de.

For example, the regular day of action on the Kneipp facility takes place on the first Wednesday of each month. There are also many other offers. Renate Wagner, for example, is already looking forward to the “aqua noodle walking” on Tuesday, August 17th, when the participants will meet at 2 p.m. at pier 2 in Possenhofen, have picnic items and go into the lake with swimming noodles under their arms walk. A moon hike is planned for Friday, August 20, 6 p.m. An application for membership is also available for download on the website. The Starnberg Kneipp Association currently has 136 members.

Renate Wagner was also happy about the great interest on Sunday for another reason. A year ago, the big day of action - Wagner: “You can also call it a summer festival” - fell victim to the pandemic. At that time, a few members only met on a very small scale. So it was all the nicer to experience a large community again.
