Rafael Nadal announced tonight (Wednesday) that he will not participate in the Cincinnati tournament, which will be held next week.
This is due to the injury he is carrying in his leg, which also caused him to miss the Masters tournament in Canada that is taking place these days.
Aside from Nadal's absence, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer will also not take part in the Ohio tournament, which is a preliminary tournament to the US Open that will begin at the end of the month. It is a championship with many expectations One, and whoever wins it will become the pinnacle of degrees.
It is now unclear whether Nadal will be able to play in New York at all and compete for the 21st Grand Slam, with his leg injury still interfering, and even if he is physically fit, the question of fitness in which he will reach the tournament remains.
