According to sources involved in the matter, the reason why only about half of the construction plans planned to be discussed in the Supreme Planning Board of the Civil Administration is due to the opposition of the Americans • The Yesha Council is furious: "Demand to immediately return all plans approved for discussion and promotion"

A subcommittee on objections at the Supreme Planning Council (MTA) in the Civil Administration will convene next week to approve the promotion of construction plans at various planning stages of just over 2,000 housing units, after not meeting for eight months with the consent and coordination of the US administration.

Israel Today has received the full list of housing units that were scheduled to be discussed next week, but were dropped from the agenda at the last minute.

The committee meeting, which was supposed to discuss the promotion and approval of construction plans for more than 4,000 housing units, will take place after pressure from the Yesha Council on the government and following intensive council work behind the scenes, with a view to setting a date for a discussion. Donald Trump to the Netanyahu government, for building permits in Judea and Samaria every quarter.

Since Joe Biden's entry into the White House, the committee has not convened, despite objections from MTA. In its last hearing on the issue, in January, only 792 housing units were approved.

In recent weeks, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's office has been working in front of the White House to allow the committee to convene.

However, in light of the long period in which the committee did not convene, Yesha expected that more building plans would be approved at the next meeting.

However, as mentioned, about half of the programs went off the agenda at the last minute.

Sources involved in the matter estimate that the reason is the opposition of the Americans.

The Civil Administration Licensing Committee is also expected to discuss the approval of nearly 1,000 housing units for Palestinians in Area C, 715 are plans already discussed in 2019 by the Cabinet, which approved bringing them for approval in the Civil Administration.

About 200 more units were approved for discussion this week by the cabinet.

Some of the units are of existing construction, so it is necessary to approve them retrospectively because they were built without a building permit.

The list of housing units in the settlements that were to be discussed next week and dropped from the agenda at the last minute, as reached by Israel Today: about 1,200 housing units designated for deposit (588 housing units in Givat Zeev, 196 in Alon Moreh and 380 in Kedumim).

An additional 1,200 housing units were designated for validity (the last stage in the planning process), 191 of them at the entrances to Jericho, 136 housing units in Givat Zeev, 224 housing units in Talmon, 629 housing units in Neve Shoham and 98 housing units in Scouts.

As stated, the committee is expected to discuss and approve about 2,000 housing units at various planning stages: 286 in Har Bracha, 399 in Revava, 100 in Elon Moreh and more.

The Yesha Council held an emergency meeting with the Prime Minister's Office today following the publication, saying: "We are in an unacceptable situation where plans approved by Defense Minister Bnei Gantz were rejected by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

We oppose an unprecedented move to remove construction plans in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley from the IAA agenda, even though they are ready for approval. Plans waiting on the council table for eight months may not be promoted. We can not continue to sit and wait. "

"Any government that does not understand the importance of settlement and does not build on it continuously, and that involves building for Jews together with building for the Palestinians - has no right to exist. We demand the immediate return of all approved plans for discussion and promotion. In the coming days "Samaria and the Jordan Valley, including a return to the principle where every ready-made plan goes into planning approval and advancement."
