As part of the various events for the 200 years since the creation of the University of Buenos Aires, President Alberto Fernández participated together with the rector of the institution, Alberto Barbieri, in the tribute at the Faculty of Law, where he is a professor.

"Education in Argentina should fill us with pride," said the President in the closing ceremony led by Marcelo Bonelli and Luciana Rubinska, in which the president of the University Federation of Buenos Aires, Ramiro Fernández Sarraf, also participated, speaking on behalf of the students.

"If I am something, to a large extent, I owe it to this university," Fernández said, recalling his classes at the Law School.

And he added: "All my life is crossed by the University of Buenos Aires, which is a magnificent place where one can find

respect in diversity, plurality to an extreme degree

, where one can learn and find development mechanisms. And that is a exemplary proof of how you can build a society with an ascending social scale ", he highlighted.

The President celebrated the bicentennial house of studies but did not mention any current issues.

Much less did he make any reference to the scandal over the photos of the birthday of the first lady Fabiola Yáñez, which confirmed the violation of strict quarantine compliance at Quinta de Olivos.

Among the attendees were the Governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, the Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero, the Minister of Science and Technology, Roberto Salvarezza, the Minister of Education, Nicolás Trotta, the Chancellor, Felipe Sola, among other officials.

My history with the UBA dates back to when, at a very young age, I entered a law degree.

From that day on I was linked to her forever, as a graduate, as a teacher and as her fervent defender.
