Wallgau - Magdalena Neuner from Wallgau became a mother for the third time.

After announcing her “summer baby” in February, the 34-year-old recently posted a photo of six colorful footprints on Instagram and commented on the post with three colorful hearts.

The two larger feet, which are shown in pink on the outside of the sheet, are likely to be those of her eldest daughter Verena Anna, who was born in May 2014.

The dark blue prints in between could be from son Josef, who was born in November 2016.

The third feet in the middle are light blue.

Neuner has since confirmed that their third child is a boy.

Magdalena Neuner has long been one of the most successful and popular winter athletes in Germany.

The end of her career came as a surprise: after the home World Cup in 2012 in Ruhpolding, she ended her career at the age of 25.

Between 2007 and 2012 she had dominated her sport. Neuner won twelve medals at world championships, and she also won the overall world cup three times. She experienced her sporting climax in Vancouver, Canada: At the 2010 Winter Olympics, she won gold in the pursuit and in the mass start and silver in the sprint. She was voted Germany's Sportswoman of the Year three times for her achievements. For several years she has been working as a biathlon television expert for ARD. Neuner and her husband Josef Holzer have been officially married since March 2014, and the church wedding followed in October 2015. She and the master carpenter, whom she has known since elementary school, have been in a relationship since 2009.

On Instagram, Neuner was congratulated by other top athletes, among others: The fencer Britta Heidemann posted a heart next to the photo. Cross-country skier and biathlete Evi Sachsenbacher-Stehle wrote: “Congratulations to you five.” Tf
