The Prime Minister asked the funds to prepare for vaccination of additional ages as early as next week.


Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke this morning (Thursday) with senior HMOs and asked them to prepare for the expansion of the vaccination campaign with vaccination of additional age groups in the third dose as early as next week - ahead of the approval that is expected to be received by the vaccination committee.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister received a detailed overview of the situation with regard to the immunization efforts at the HMOs.

Commenting on the vaccination efforts, the Prime Minister said: "I estimate that tonight we will receive the approval of the epidemic treatment team to vaccinate a lower age group in the third complementary vaccine. Therefore, we must prepare for expanding the age range of the third vaccine next week. "

Bennett further thanked the medical staff and said: "I want to commend you for your work on vaccines, because it is simply life-saving. Earlier today, the Ministry of Health released the refined morbidity data showing that the number of verified corona diagnosed yesterday stands at 5,946, out of 131,456 tests performed - the rate of positive tests stands at 4.62%.
