Corona: Entry to Bavaria - these fines threaten if the test obligation is violated

The Bavarian Ministry of Health has now published its announced catalog of fines, in which the different fines for violating the corona test obligation are listed. In the case of travelers returning who are unable to present a vaccination pass or proof of recovery or a corona test during a police check, the amount of the fine depends on the country in which they had previously stayed.

1,000 euros should be due when returning from a virus variant area, 500 euros after the vacation in a high-risk area, everyone else should usually pay 250 euros.

For all those who enter from a high-risk or virus variant area and submit the entry form too late, only partially completed or not completed at all, a fine of 1,000 euros is due.

If the form is not submitted 24 hours later, there is a further € 1,000 fine.

Corona in Bavaria: juicy penalties for new mandatory tests for travelers returning

There is a risk of as much as 2,000 euros in the event of a breach of the "separation obligation" that applies when returning from a high-risk or virus variant area.

Anyone who has been to a high-risk area abroad must immediately be quarantined in Germany for ten days.

For fully vaccinated and convalescent people, this quarantine obligation ended as soon as they upload the relevant proof to the entry portal, all others can test themselves after five days at the earliest.

People who are in "entry quarantine" are not allowed to receive visitors during this time - violations are punished with 600 euros.

However, it is not the Ministry of Health that ultimately decides on the amount of the fine.

The penalties are only a guideline - the responsible district administrative authority always has the final say.
