2021-08-12T12:53:13.174Z

Global warming is hurting many countries around the world and not missing the country either • This summer is characterized by high temperatures, a continuous heat wave and low humidity levels not typical of the season • A UN report published on the subject warned that humanity is closer to the point of no return

The world is warming, and so is Israel:

The unusual climatic events this summer include a series of heat waves in Canada and the western United States, floods in Germany and the Netherlands, fires in Spain, Greece and Turkey, droughts in Madagascar and floods in China and Australia. Rare in its duration for the summer season in many areas. In the coastal plain and in the lowlands it was even unprecedented for the summer season.

According to the Meteorological Service, during the period the daily maximum temperatures of 35 to 37 degrees were measured in the coastal plain, in the lowlands 37 to 39, in the Negev and in the northern valleys 38 to 41, in the Sea of Galilee and Beit She'an 41 to 43, in the Jordan Valley and in the Arava 43 to 46, in the mountains. Central 34 to 36, in the Lower Galilee and in the southern Golan 36 to 38 and in the Upper Galilee and in the northern Golan 32 to 34 degrees.

Many areas will suffer from extreme drought, according to the UN report // Photo: AFP,

In practice, the high temperatures were accompanied by extreme dryness with a relative humidity of 10% to 25% in the mountains and inland.

The dryness has also reached the vicinity of the coast and this is an unusual condition for summer that is characterized by hot and humid weather in this area and especially during periods of heat waves, so particularly steamy weather prevails.

As you may recall, last Monday the UN climate report was published warning of global warming and claiming that it is the cause of the extreme weather we are witnessing today.

The report, the most comprehensive ever carried out on global warming and global warming, suggested that the earth is likely to warm up by about a decade and a half earlier than expected.

A warming of 1.5 degrees Celsius is considered a point where climate change will become increasingly dangerous.

Although the Paris Agreement signed in 2015 obliged the countries of the world to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, they have already risen by 1.2 degrees.

The report warns about how close the world is to reaching this point of no return and how dangerous the consequences are for humanity.
