Snake with two heads eats (snakebytestv)

A rather disturbing video shared by reptile amateur Brian Berchik on Instagram shows the moment when a snake with two heads eats two mice at the same time - each mouse in a different mouth.

Since this creepy snake has two heads, it is able to eat two meals at the same time

Ben & Jerry, the name of the snake that intentionally consists of two names, aroused the curiosity of viewers who asked in the comments whether Ben and Jerry share one digestive system?

Brian responded to the scientific website IFLScience: "Yes, they share a stomach and their trachea connects about 3 inches from their head."

That means he may have a small cork of mice as soon as they enter the system and probably also some serious digestive problems.

Ben & Jerry is a two-headed California coral snake (Kingsnake) and is part of Berchik's reptile collection, it's really rare to have an adult two-headed snake, as these usually do not survive for long.

The bipolar disorder is not entirely uncommon - it is a condition called bicephalic, and is estimated to affect 1 in 10,000 snake births.

As in the case of Siamese twins, this happens when a fertilized egg does not completely split.

While this is a more common case in snakes than in other animals, it can occur in any vertebrate.

Unfortunately, as most bivalve snakes have pointed out, they barely survive beyond a few months, but if they do reach adulthood, they continue to live a happy and healthy life.

After many acquisitions of two-headed snake offspring, Berchik was never able to hold on to a healthy adult until a friend sold him Ben & Jerry, a true survivor.

Now, the snake lives a happy life in its compound at the Reptarium, a reptile zoo in Michigan, where Barchik regularly offers a tour for the brave visitors.
