At about 9 o'clock in the morning today (12th), an 84-year-old man surnamed Chen fainted and drowned while swimming in the swimming pool at Yangming Villa, 88 Tai Tam Reservoir Road, Hong Kong Island. The lifeguard found him and rescued him and called the police.
The old man fell into a coma and was sent to the hospital by ambulance. He was confirmed dead by rescue. The cause of death has yet to be determined after an autopsy.
The police are investigating the case.
