The peak period of this year's Perseid meteor shower will be from August 12 to 13, 2021. Hong Kong observers waited for the meteor to strike the night sky from 10 o'clock last night.
If you don’t want to go out, you can sit at home and watch the Hong Kong Space Museum live broadcast the meteor shower phenomenon on YouTube. At one time, more than 3,000 netizens watched the live broadcast, and some netizens even said, "I saw 11 particles (shooting stars)."
From 10 pm to 12 midnight on Thursday, the assistant curator of the Hong Kong Space Museum Mr. Chen Junlin and Ms. Feng Caixing explained the astronomical knowledge behind the meteor shower and different observation methods in real time. At one time, more than 3,000 people watched the live broadcast.
