In her first appearance in the campaign for the 2021 elections, Vice President Cristina Kirchner participates this Thursday in the distribution of "trousseau and cribs", in a plan of the Buenos Aires municipality of Lomas de Zamora based on the controversial

Qunita Plan

.

The former vice president was shown with her son, Deputy Máximo Kirchner;

the Governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, the pro-government candidates Victoria Tolosa Paz and Daniel Gollan;

the mayor of Lomas de Zamora, Martín Insaurralde;

and the Minister of the Interior, Wado de Pedro.

The first to speak was Mayor Insaurralde, who, when mentioning the officials who were

prosecuted for alleged fraud

with the Qunita Plan -

dismissed in July of this year

- included the former president, who clarified that he was wrong.

"Ah, not this one? Morally, morally ..."

, the communal chief tried to patch up the mistake.

Governor Kicillof also spoke about the judicial path taken by the Qunita Plan and the decision of Mauricio Macri's administration to interrupt the program.

"It was an unusual situation. If (Gabriel) García Márquez writes it to you, you don't believe it. What they did is incredible," he said.

Qunita Plan

The Qunita Plan, which consisted of the

delivery of kits for pregnant women

, was implemented nationwide in 2015 with the aim of reducing infant mortality due to co-sleeping and accompanying women during their gestation period and after the birth of their children.

Following a complaint of alleged fraud to the state in the purchase of the kits,

several officials were prosecuted.

Among them were Daniel Gollan, current candidate for Deputies of the Frente de Todos, Nicolás Kreplak, current Minister of Health of Buenos Aires, and the former Chief of Cabinet of the Nation, Aníbal Fernández.

On July 16, Federal Oral Court No. 1 decided to dismiss all the accused.

It was after the prosecutor Gabriela Baigún considered that

the existence of a crime had not been proven

.

At the beginning of July, Cristina Kirchner already passed through Lomas de Zamora, where she also spoke about the Qunita plan.

Cristina had already been in Lomas at the beginning of July.

On that occasion, together with Axel Kicillof and Martín Insaurralde, he also referred to the "Qunita" plan.

And he charged hard against Juan Manzur.

It was while he was reviewing who they were when that program was launched, that it came to court for alleged irregularities.

"Nicolás Kreplak and (Daniel) Gollan were there. No, (Juan) Manzur was still there. Manzur was never prosecuted for that, the others were. Well, it doesn't matter," he said, sharp and with evident double intentions towards a linked figure to Alberto Fernández.

The day after the words of the former president, all the defendants

were dismissed
