39 overseas departments and territories exceeded this epidemic threshold on August 8, according to data from Public Health France.
They are mainly found in the south of France, in Corsica and in the overseas territories.
Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne are also concerned.
The government also asks the prefects of these territories to restore the obligation to wear the mask indoors

Almost 130 shopping centers of over 20,000 m2 are located in these departments, according to data published on the Danslestuyaux.fr site, in partnership with the National Council of Shopping Centers.
The territories, where the epidemic has resumed, which have the most are Bouches-du-Rhône (16 centers), Gironde (14), Seine-Saint-Denis (14), Val-de-Marne ( 12) and Haute-Garonne (10).
