Where do you get in despite Corona?
The Chair of the Ethics Council, Alena Buyx, advises the federal government to treat those who have recovered, who have been vaccinated and who have not been given the same test if possible.
Berlin - Will “3G” soon become “2G”?
Private providers can already set the "2G" principle for their interiors: that is, access only for vaccinated and convalescent people - but not for those who have been tested.
Those who have not received a corona vaccination have to stay outside.
After the MPK with Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU), the federal government wants to initially rely on the "3G" principle, as agreed with the federal states.
However, it should now also prove to be an effective protective instrument.
If not, the situation could change quickly.
New "2G rule": Ethics Council chairman Buyx admonishes the state to be moderate
The chairman of the German Ethics Council, Alena Buyx, now urged the state to cautiously deal with the 2G rule.
"From an ethical perspective, it is important to ensure as much participation as possible in social life for everyone in the pandemic and to receive individual options - even if not all of the costs have to be borne by the state," Buyx told the
Rheinische Post
on Thursday.
"Private providers are free to introduce the 2G rule, but the state should handle the 2G rule very moderately and in a situation-appropriate manner," added Buyx.
Buyx had previously welcomed the introduction of chargeable corona tests for unvaccinated people as logical and understandable.
Anyone who decides against the vaccination despite all the low-threshold vaccination offers will ultimately ensure that the pandemic continues, Buyx told the broadcaster Phoenix.
Approval for the planned cost obligation for tests also came from medical and municipal associations.
Ethics Council Chairman Buyx sees no corona vaccination obligation "through the back door"
"There is no compulsory vaccination, not even through the back door," she also told ZDF on the subject.
She stated: "An obligation to vaccinate means that you will be sanctioned as a whole if you are not vaccinated - regardless of what you do".
In fact, restaurant visits, for example, are also possible for unvaccinated people with evidence of a negative test result.
There is also the alternative of not going to the restaurant.
On the other hand, there is a real compulsory vaccination for measles vaccination, according to Buyx.
From 23 August, stricter test regulations will apply to those who have not yet been vaccinated.
