The National Theater Troupe in Lattakia presented this evening in Al-Orouba Park the children’s theatrical show “The Cat Abu Jazma”, prepared and directed by Majd Younis Ahmed.

The show, which was presented within the “Art Gardens” event, is part of a project that director Ahmed is working on by reproducing old tales to suit the child in order to convey a set of values ​​such as honesty and listening to parents’ advice by making use of children’s favorite characters in an atmosphere of direct interaction with the child.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Ahmed noted the importance of the “Art Gardens” demonstration, which takes the theater from the cultural centers and closed halls to the open air, restoring the theater’s primary role by being among the people as an important cultural platform.

The demonstration was well received and admired by the parents and children, some of whom attended specially to follow it, while others were there by chance in the garden. Maher Kassab, who attended the show with his two-and-a-half-year-old son, and Leona Ladawi, who came with her husband and two children, and the ten-year-old girl Maria Kaddoura, considered the importance of the event to be It is held in the open air, and the children are accustomed to attending various artistic and cultural events, get acquainted with the theater and interact with it directly.

The event will continue through a variety of theatrical performances every Thursday until the 16th of next month.
