The Home Front Command reopened the Alon headquarters, and volunteered to assist with vaccinations and child tests.


Establishment of two military corona wards in hospitals, restarting the "Ella" unit to conduct epidemiological investigations, assisting the Ministry of Health in administering vaccines and performing serological tests in schools - these are the actions the Home Front Command intends to carry out in the near future to help curb the fourth corona wave.

The Alon headquarters and the Ella unit for conducting epidemiological investigations of the Home Front Command were supposed to become a small administration in the Ministry of Health in April, but the renewed outbreak led to their opening and rebuilding.

In contrast to previous outbreaks, most of the activities that were previously the responsibility of the Home Front Command - such as corona checkpoints, epidemiological investigations and isolation hotels - are now carried out by civilian manpower companies.

And yet, recently a thousand headquarters personnel and 500 medics have been recruited to the reserve to assist the medical staff.

A senior officer in the Home Front Command claimed that flights at the current time were bothering him.

"We want to prevent the entry of the next variant into Israel," the officer said.

"All of these mass events, like the trip to Uman, bother me. What is not required must be reduced."

Regarding the dramatic jump in the number of patients in the IDF, which stands at about 1,000 patients, the officer said:
