At 4:18 pm today (12th), the police received a report from the Prince Police Sports Recreation Club Swimming Pool that a 73-year-old man surnamed Chen drowned while swimming. He was rescued by a swimming pool lifeguard but was unconscious.
Responding to the report, the paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the man to Guanghua Hospital. After the rescue, the situation was critical.
The victim was fitted with an automatic external defibrillator and sent to the ward by medical staff.
The police are investigating the incident.
The man was sent to Guanghua Hospital for emergency treatment, and a police sports and recreation club staff member went to the hospital to assist.
