The remnants of terrorist groups deployed in Daraa al-Balad and some areas of the western countryside continue their crimes against the people, in addition to targeting some points of the Syrian Arab Army, at a time when the state and the army are striving to address the situation, consolidate security and stability, and protect the people through dialogue and various means to spare the people any harm.
After several attempts by the state to address the situation in some areas of Daraa Governorate through dialogue, especially in the Daraa Al-Balad area, some terrorist groups continue to attack buses for transporting civilians and some army checkpoints in an attempt to thwart any efforts that lead to a settlement that restores security and stability throughout the governorate, in an apparent coincidence with Statements by terrorist operators in Paris and London about the reality of the situation in the city.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the campaigns of incitement and hypocrisy carried out by the British government, the European Union and France regarding the situation in Daraa governorate, which aim to relieve the pressure on the terrorists there and serve as an operational order for these groups to thwart dialogue efforts or reach a settlement that preserves the blood and security of civilians.
The people of Daraa spoke about the abnormal situation in some areas after most parts of the governorate regained their security and stability and the people returned to their work, their universities, schools and their fields, and the process of rehabilitating infrastructure and services began with a noticeable acceleration, stressing the need to work on finding a solution that ends the existence of terrorist organizations that kidnap thousands of civilians and make them As human shields, it refuses that security and goodness prevail throughout the province.
Abu Muhammad from the city of Sheikh Miskeen says in a statement to SANA reporter: “I returned to work in agriculture two years ago, after being cut off from it for five consecutive years due to terrorism. We must work to strengthen security and stability throughout Daraa and put an end to terrorism that ruined the lives of the people of the province in general.” Terrorist groups and their supporters in the West bear the responsibility for thwarting efforts for a solution that will lead to bloodshed.
Wanted, outlaws and remnants of terrorist groups are holed up in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood, who attack from time to time with mortars, explosive devices and machine guns on neighboring areas, causing the death of a number of civilians and soldiers during the past months.
Over the past two years, Daraa Governorate has witnessed the return of normal and agricultural life, the launch of dozens of projects, and the return of many people to work that they stopped doing for years due to terrorism.
On Al-Shuhada Street in the center of Daraa city, which closed its doors due to terrorism until the beginning of 2019 and then returned to work, Husam, the owner of one of the shops, confirms that dealing firmly in eliminating terrorism is everyone’s demand, and the prestige of the state must be re-imposed in light of the attempts of armed groups to establish their own areas and their rejection of peaceful solutions .
In turn, Mrs. Umm Adnan, from the city of Daraa, demanded the imposition of security and stability and the cessation of attacks by the remnants of terrorists on civilians and to miss the opportunity on the West, which is trying to mix papers and return chaos to the southern region and falsify facts about the reality of the situation in Daraa.
Over the past few days, units of the Syrian Arab Army deployed in a number of areas adjacent to the Daraa al-Balad neighborhood to control security, end the suffering of the people, and enhance security and stability throughout Daraa Governorate.
