The High Court overturned Galant's decision to deny Prof. Goldreich the Israel Prize

The High Court today (Thursday) overturned the decision of the previous Minister of Education, Yoav Galant, to reject the recommendation of the Israel Prize Committee to grant it to Prof. Oded Goldreich. For the year 1951 in the field of mathematics and computer science research for Goldreich.

The judges in the majority opinion also ordered that the decision be returned to the discretion of the new Minister of Education, Yifat Shasha-Bitton.
