An incident in which gunfire was reported to police left several dead and injured late Thursday in Plymouth, southern England.
On Twitter, the local deputy Johnny Mercer, evoking the facts
"serious and tragic"
, affirmed that these were not considered as being of terrorist nature and that the shooter is
"not on the run".

According to Sky News, the shooter is dead.
Law enforcement was called in due to a
"serious incident involving firearms"
late in the day, local police said in a statement.
Police and help went there, the police continued, citing
"several dead" as
well as several other victims taken in charge by the emergency services.
“The area has been cordoned off and the police believe the situation is under control,”
the police continued.
Referring to
“shocking”
facts
about which she did not provide any details, Interior Minister Priti Patel called on
“everyone to remain calm, to follow the advice of the police and to allow our emergency services to do their job ”.
