From Friday, August 13th, the time has come: The parking lot at the Lido and the hiking parking lot at Schongauer Lechuferstraße will be chargeable until after the summer holidays.
The city hopes that this will solve the parking chaos.
The first 60 minutes are free
If you just want to freshen up in the water and be back within an hour, you don't have to pay anything, but set your parking disc.
For the time after that, visitors to the Lido have to buy a ticket: From the 2nd hour, one euro is due for 60 minutes, but a maximum of five hours must be paid, the day pass therefore costs five euros.
The city council had decided on these fees at its meeting at the beginning of July and thus, after many protests in social networks, corrected the significantly higher fees previously decided by the building committee downwards.
The fee is now as high as in the old town of Schongau.
Ultimately, however, the city hopes that many bathers will now rather come by bike and leave their car at home.
You can buy the ticket with your mobile phone - or buy a day ticket in advance
Since no parking machines have yet been set up, the parking fees must be paid via "cell phone parking" or "smart parking", i.e. via the cell phone.
Alternatively, day tickets can be purchased during regular opening times in the boathouse on the Lido or at the tourist information office.
Day tickets that have not been used can be returned from September 15th.
