He was promoted to Senior Superintendent in 2010, Chief Superintendent in 2016, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Criminal) in 2019, and Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police in 2020, serving as Criminal and Security Division Director.

According to information on the police website, he holds a law degree and a master's degree in business administration, and has taken courses at the National School of Administration, Tsinghua University and other overseas colleges.
