"I'm opinionated - and people have a hard time digesting it" Israel today

"This is what frightens me and I experience it all the time, it is difficult for people to digest a woman who is opinionated, and I am opinionated," says Maya Bezalel in an interview with the "Shishvat" supplement of "Israel Today."

"I'm not afraid to say my opinion, and I'm not afraid it will be different. I'm not stealing public opinion, and I'm just saying things I connect to. It was easiest for me to say what the audience wanted to hear, and I know what they want to hear. But it's not worth it. "

"My metric was what I would say on the radio, because on the radio I talk about everything freely. It was my metric. I can't say anything to please someone."

For years, Maya Bezalel has refused offers from any reality show, on any possible channel.

The obsessive courtship of her was understandable: Kiryat Gat, a liberal with contagious laughter, who came to the big city following the victory of her then best friend, Ninet Tayeb.

Why did you say yes to the brother?

"Because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone, and I got out. I want to believe they saw in me my authenticity. That's who I am."

"On the street I only get support, but obviously there are also less good responses, and I've heard them too. I prefer a hundred real quality responses over 100,000 that are not."

Are you sorry you entered the fireplace house?

"I do not want to say that, but I am glad I came out. I knew how this field works, and that's fine."

Bezalel's biggest rival in the fireplace house was former Knesset member Oren Hazan.

"We had a completely rotating relationship. Until the moment he told me, 'Turn around, make tools' - and that infuriated me."

"It's a conflict that I live by on a daily basis. I have responded to both my own pain and the pain of others. Where I am today, there is no place for such statements.
