58% of the Public: Another Closure - Government Failure Israel today

2021-08-13T03:56:53.880Z

67% are troubled by the dramatic increase in morbidity • Opposition leader Netanyahu is marked as most suitable for prime minister (51%), with more than four times the support of those receiving Prime Minister Bennett • And an up-and-coming picture of seats:

If a decision is made on a fourth closure, it will be a failure of the government, according to the majority of the public in Israel.

The "Israel Today" survey conducted this week through a "database of minds" led by Prof. Yitzhak Katz shows that 58% of opinion leaders believe that they are 50% of respondents. 42% of opinion leaders believe that if a closure is decided, it is not a government failure. This is 36% of the respondents.

The "Israel Today" poll shows that if the elections had been held today, the Likud would have risen to 32 seats and the entire right-wing bloc, including the right, would have received 62 seats.

A new hope led by Gideon Saar does not pass the blocking percentage.

The survey was conducted this week among 504 respondents, who constitute a representative sample of the adult population in Israel.

The sampling error may range up to 4.4% of the result, down or up.

Unlike the Likud, the ruling right-wing party drops slightly in the poll and receives 8 seats.

This is compared to 9 seats she received in the last poll from July and 7 seats she received in the election.

With the exception of a new hope, which as mentioned does not pass the blocking percentage, the picture remains fairly stable: Labor with 6 seats, Blue and White receives 10, Yesh Atid 18, Torah Judaism 7, Yisrael Beiteinu 7, Shas 8, Meretz 6, Religious Zionism 7, RAAM rises to 5, and the joint list receives 6 seats.

Moreover, there are no surprises in the question of suitability for prime minister.

Netanyahu, although relegated to the position of opposition leader, continues to star at the top of the list with 51% believing that he is the most suitable, Yair Lapid later with 23% match.

While the prime minister, who has been in office for two months, Naftali Bennett, receives only a 12% adjustment.

Among right-wing voters, Netanyahu is also ahead of Bennett.

44% of right-wing voters believe that Netanyahu is the most deserving.

Only 34% said that the candidate is the chairman of the party they chose.

Contrary to the results that would have been obtained, it is likely that if the survey had been conducted two months ago, the public in Israel today is very concerned about the increase in morbidity.

67% said they were disturbed or very disturbed by the increase in corona morbidity.

21% said they were moderately troubled.

12% responded that they are not bothered or not bothered at all.

And what is the public's position on the holiday closure, if the current outbreak is not halted?

45% think it would be right to impose a closure in such a case, 36% think not and 19% answered that they do not know.

After announcing this week that the director general of the Ministry of Finance that the outline of the Knesset that was in the previous government will not be repeated if a closure is imposed, it becomes clear that the public really does not think it is right.

76% answered that the outline of the Khalat should be returned. Only 24% said no.

The talk of a possible closure brings with it a fear of economic harm as a result of the current outbreak.

41% said they fear or are very concerned about economic harm.

31% said their fear was "like this, moderate."

Whereas 28% said they are not or are not at all afraid of the economic damage that will come as a result of the current wave of morbidity.
