No more mask in Denmark: the Ministry of Transport announced Friday, August 13 the lifting of the obligation to wear it in public transport, the only place where it was still required, a consequence of the relaxation of social distancing rules.

We are now in a situation (...) where a large part of the population is vaccinated, and we are returning to a more normal daily life.
This means that we can say goodbye to masks in buses, trains and subways,
”Transport Minister Benny Engelbrecht said in a statement.
The obligation, introduced on August 22, 2020, disappears from Saturday August 14.
Initially, its lifting was scheduled for September 1.
On Wednesday, the health authorities of the Scandinavian kingdom of 5.8 million inhabitants, which has about a thousand new infections per day, had softened their recommendations for social distancing, arguing the significant vaccination coverage (more than 60% of the population).

We now have good infection control across the company, as many people have accepted the offer of vaccination.
Therefore, we can adapt the prevention recommendations so that people can maintain a normal daily life while respecting the principle of prevention
”, explained in a press release the deputy director of the National Health Agency, Helene Bilsted Probst .
Wearing a mask, however, remains in force in the country's planes and airports, where international air transport rules are applied.
