The Education Association, which was criticized as a "malignant tumor" by the mainland official media, announced its dissolution on Wednesday (10th).
A newspaper earlier quoted Senior Counsel Tang Jiahua, a member of the Executive Council, as saying that there is no evidence that the Education Association has violated the laws of Hong Kong.
Tang Jiahua clarified that he is not clear about the structure or operation of the Education Association, but only from media reports, he did not see any evidence that the Education Association violated the law, and whether the Education Association violated the law needs to be investigated by the police.

Tang Jiahua criticized that the interpretation of the relevant report was completely incorrect, saying that he was only in the newspaper and did not see that the Educational Association violated the law, and believed that if the Educational Association was accused of violating the "Hong Kong National Security Law", it would be related to conspiracy to subvert state power. The crime needs to involve illegal acts, and he has not seen relevant evidence for the time being.
He mentioned that even if the venue is lent to hold the democratic primary elections, it does not necessarily show that the Association of Education is conspiring to subvert state power.
