A tragic wildlife accident occurred in Weiterstadt near Darmstadt: a motorcyclist collided with a wild boar.
He died in a clinic from serious injuries.
Weiterstadt - On Tuesday evening (August 10th, 2021) a game accident took a dramatic turn - a 48-year-old motorcyclist collided with a wild boar and suffered serious injuries.
As the Darmstadt police announced, the man was taken to a nearby clinic, where he died.
According to the police, the 48-year-old motorcyclist drove on Mainzer Strasse in the direction of Darmstadt at around 9:50 p.m. while several wild boars were crossing the street.
There it is said to have come to a collision between the man on the motorcycle and a wild boar.
As the Darmstadt police reported, the wild boar died at the scene of the accident.

The gray motorcycle suffered damage to property amounting to several hundred euros.
The victim from Groß-Umstadt was taken to a hospital after the accident, where he died two days later (August 12, 2021) due to serious injuries.
Only recently there was also a fatal motorcycle accident on the A67 near Darmstadt. A motorcycle and an SUV collided, and help came too late for the 57-year-old motorcyclist. (Yasemin Kamisli)
