A woman got into oncoming traffic for an unexplained cause - which prevented the frontal crash.

- Friday the 13th is also a lucky day for some: three people involved in an accident between Holzkirchen and Großhartpenning - on the B 13, of course - were very lucky on Friday afternoon.
According to the police, a 75-year-old car driver from the northern district of Miesbach drove her VW Golf further and further into the oncoming lane for reasons that were still unexplained.
Her Golf first scraped the exterior mirror of an oncoming Skoda Fabia, whose driver was already staying as far to the right as possible, before the car completely moved into the opposite lane.
Finally, another driver had no choice but to use his Iveco van entirely on the opposite lane in order to avoid a head-on collision with the VW.
Oncoming driver avoids the oncoming lane
The driver and transporter were unharmed, reports the police.
The VW finally came off the road completely and came to a stop about 50 meters from the road in a corn field.
Fortunately, the 75-year-old was only slightly injured.
The ambulance took the woman to the hospital.
Why she didn't keep her track has yet to be determined.
According to the police, the property damage is around 1500 euros.
The towing service had to pull the car out of the field with a winch.
During the rescue operations, the roadway was completely closed for around 40 minutes and one side was closed for a further 20 minutes.
The Holzkirchen fire brigade diverted the traffic.
