On the same day as the incident, a Hezbollah skimmer, which crossed from Lebanon to Israeli territory, was also shot down on the northern border, amid growing tensions with the terrorist organization.
Last weekend, 19 rockets were fired from Lebanon at Israeli territory.
An iron dome intercepted most of them, and the rest fell in open areas in the Har Dov area.
This was the second time in the previous week that shots had been fired from Lebanon, after the rockets had been launched two days earlier.
In response, the IDF attacked the sources of the shooting.
