The train drivers' union takes stock - and threatens new strikes.
Berlin - After the two-day strike by train drivers, GdL boss Claus Weselsky took stock on Friday morning - and warned of new strikes.
If Deutsche Bahn's offer does not improve, new measures will have to be used.
"We will only let a short time pass before we take industrial action again," said Weselsky.
If this scenario occurs, these would be “longer”.
However, this is the "very last resort" in rail transport.
The fact that so many people took part in the strikes is a very positive signal, emphasized the GdL boss.
“We can not only paralyze rail traffic, but also protest.” On Tuesday (August 17, 2021) the train drivers want to demonstrate on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.
Deutsche Bahn: GdL threatens new strikes
Weselsky again attacked the management of Deutsche Bahn at the press conference.
"Mismanagement, bottom-up redistribution and injustice" are the real problems.
The "rivets in pinstripes" from the "Tower of Deutsche Bahn" are responsible for this, according to Weselsky.

“What Deutsche Bahn has offered in recent years is simply a mistake.
We are convinced that the just, permissible and more proportionate demands will be implemented.
We do not allow one-sided media coverage to persuade us that this is unfair. ”In the end, everyone would see who had the majority in the company, emphasized the GdL boss.

Weselsky said on Friday morning, however, that they are aware of the responsibility for travelers.
An "open-ended dispute" is not an option.
In the future, strike measures should also not be announced at such short notice as on Tuesday.
