Sigmertshausen / Röhrmoos - Sepp Schmid has received the community medal of the community Röhrmoos for his services to the club life in the district of Sigmertshausen.

The 59-year-old, who is also known in Sigmertshausen by his nickname “Feile”, is the youngest citizen medal holder in the community.
The call for "Feile" is by no means a degradation, but only the abbreviation of his house name "Feilschuster".
The Sigmertshauser appreciate Feile's commitment very much.
This was shown by the crowd of functionaries from the clubs who accompanied him to the honor together with his two sisters Marlene and Josefine.
Unfortunately, his wife Anita could not be there for health reasons.
Mayor Dieter Kugler emphasized that the award of the citizen medal "is reserved for only a few people".
The basis for the honor was the existing order of honor and a municipal council resolution from September 2020, which could only now be implemented due to Corona.
With the medal, the local council wants to express the appreciation of volunteer work and encourage citizens to do volunteer work themselves.
A point system was established as an aid for the municipal council's decision.
As Kugler pointed out in his laudatory speech, over the years and decades the honoree had represented the interests of the Sigmertshauser associations with a lot of passion and in some cases still does. "Over the decades he has made an outstanding contribution to the club culture in Sigmertshausen and thus also to the Röhrmoos community," emphasized Kugler.
Sepp Schmid was born in Sigmertshausen.
At the age of 14, he joined the Glück auf Sigmertshausen shooting club, which he has been chairman of since 1996.
Before that he worked as a youth leader and deputy chairman for the shooting club.
As a craftsman, he was also important for the shooters, because Glück auf had to look for a new hostel again and again for various reasons.
At one point the shooting range and shooting gallery were even destroyed in a fire for years.
The Sigmertshausen civic restaurant has only been home to the shooting club since 1995.
The fact that the jubilee not only tackled and directed, but was also able to handle the air rifle, became evident when he became the shooting champion in 2007/2008.
The list of awards for the "file" in the shooting sector is long, ranging from the Protectorate Badge, the Golden Gams and the Sebastianinadel (highest badge of honor of the President) to the Gold-Red badge awarded in 2019.
Regardless of the event, Schmid always shows himself to be a good organizer, which the mayor also noticed at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Schützen and the associated pageant through the town.
The second passion of the "Feile" is the Sigmertshauser Theater, where he has been active since 1987 and where he was the club's chairman from 2000 to 2008.
Schmid lends a hand with the stage construction, selects the plays, distributes the roles with board member Fesenmair and plays along himself.
Since the age of 18, "Feile" has also been a member of the local fire brigade, for which he has worked for many years in the active group and he worked on the festival committee for the 100th anniversary celebration.
He hoped, Kugler concluded, that Schmid will be able to work for the Sigmertshausen village community for many years to come.
The approximately 30 guests of honor applauded.
Of course, “Feile” insisted on sending a few words of thanks to the community and the Sigmertshauser associations, which he had grown fond of.
He also thanked his wife for bringing home a bouquet of flowers from the congregation.
"She has always tolerated my involvement in the clubs, even if I was not at home five times a week in the evening."
