The Local Community Development Association in As-Suwayda, through its volunteer team, Utopia, launched the “My Book is Your Book” initiative to support secondary school students in all stages and specializations, with the approach of the new school year.
The coordinator of the initiative, a member of the Utopia team, Maher Al-Shaarani, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the aim of the initiative is to ease the burdens on the parents in these difficult economic conditions, to enhance the values of cooperation between members of society and to support the educational process.
Al-Shaarani indicated that the initiative includes collecting copies of books for those who do not need them, as well as financial donations to purchase new copies of books for all high school grades and exchange copies of books among students, pointing out that the initiative team is ready to come to the place of anyone who wants to provide copies of books or sell them at a reasonable price.
The Utopia Volunteer Team of the Local Community Development Association in As-Suwayda implements many targeted initiatives in the community and includes volunteers in various specializations.
