The Directorate of Education in the Damascus countryside has completed the preparation of the first high school in Douma to reactivate it and put it into service at the beginning of the new school year after it was subjected to sabotage and destruction during the years of the terrorist war on Syria.

The Director of Education in Damascus Countryside, Maher Faraj, indicated in a statement to SANA’s delegate that the Al-Basel High School for Outstanding Students in Douma is eligible to receive about 780 students in 26 classrooms in addition to 9 administrative rooms, where the seventh grade students of basic education and first-year secondary students will be registered as a first stage. Three people per row.

Faraj pointed out that work is continuing to create high schools for outstanding students to include most educational areas in Damascus countryside in appreciation of the efforts of outstanding students and students and to maintain their educational level, noting the efforts made by local community activities in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Governorate of Damascus Countryside to reconstruct destroyed schools and create new buildings and the horizontal expansion of buildings Education according to needs, which contributes to alleviating the demographic density in some areas and brings the goal closer to creating schools for outstanding students in all areas.

Faraj stated that Al-Basel High School in Douma was the first of its kind in the Damascus countryside governorate before it was subjected to sabotage and destruction during the years of the terrorist war on Syria, stressing that four schools for outstanding students have been activated within the Damascus countryside governorate so far.

For her part, the supervisor of the administrative complex in the Douma area, Nuha Al-Najjar, explained that registration will start today, Saturday, within the administrative complex, and continue until Thursday, August 19, exceptionally, for the Douma area, noting that the standardized test will take place on time on Sunday, August 22.

On the 25th of last July, the Directorate of Education in the Damascus countryside completed the preparation of a new school for outstanding students, to be the third of its kind within the governorate.
