A

Management & Fit study

carried out between Friday and Saturday, after the so-called Olivos Gate, reveals that

60% of those consulted

believe that the breach of the mandatory isolation of President Alberto Fernández and his partner Fabiola Yáñez represents

a political scandal that deserves consequences

. Meanwhile,

22.3%

assure that in the next legislative elections they

would vote for candidates favorable

to the national ruling party and from what happened they

will change their decision

.

The analysis was carried out on

1,200 cases in the AMBA

, among those over 16 years of age who responded by telephone to a series of queries related to the appearance of the controversial image in which the President and the First Lady and nine other guests were seen celebrating their birthdays de Yáñez,

on July 14, 2020, when the country was under strict confinement

and meetings in closed spaces were not authorized.

The photo of the scandal in Olivos, with Fernández, Yáñez and nine guests in full quarantine.

For most, it was a political scandal

When asked how they would qualify what happened,

60.2% defined it as "a political scandal that deserves consequences"

, while 29.3% considered that it was "a fact to divert attention from the next elections "and 10.5% avoided answering.

Regarding the consequences of the event, it should be remembered that

the opposition is promoting a political trial and an investigative commission

to define what sanctions should be applied to the President of the Nation.

According to articles 205 and 239 of the Penal Code, detailed in the DNU that Fernández himself signed to dictate the isolation, whoever does not comply with it can be punished with up to two years in prison.

The seriousness of the event was also consulted.

76.1% considered that the situation was serious

.

63.2% defined it as "very serious", while for 12.9% it was "somewhat serious".

Olivos Gate seemed of less weight to 20.5%, which classified it as "nothing" or "little" serious.

Most of those surveyed distanced themselves from

the statements of Santiago Cafiero

, who in a radio interview considered that

"these are not issues that matter to people

.

"

58.6% were "not at all" (50%) or "little" (8.6%) according to the words of the Chief of Staff.

Meanwhile, 34.7% agreed with his opinion: 23.1% "very" agreed "and 11.6%" somewhat "agreed.

How it will affect the polls

One of the most interesting data that the survey reveals has to do with

how the scandal

caused by the appearance of the photograph will

affect the legislative elections

.

Faced with the question "do you think this will affect your own decision of who to vote for in September?",

22.3% say they were going to vote for candidates favorable to the national ruling party and now they will change their vote

.

That portion of the electorate is added to the

30.4% that had already decided that they would not vote for the Government in the PASO

and the 11.7% that had not defined their vote and, due to what happened, would vote against the candidates of the ruling party.

Only the 23% who were going to elect the Frente de Todos at the polls and would maintain their vote on September 12.

In addition, Management & Fit crosses two questions and inquires about the change of vote depending on the seriousness of the situation.

Among those who were going to vote for the ruling party but would now modify their vote, 25.5% consider that what happened is "very" or "somewhat" serious

, while 14% think that it was "little" or "not at all" serious. .

The perception of the issue is diametrically modified among

those who,

despite Olivos Gate,

maintain their vote in favor of an official list

.

The

65.5% of them considered to be "little" or "nothing" serious "

and only 11.5% see it as" somewhat "or" very "serious.

For

those who had not defined the vote

and now they will lean towards an option other than the one promoted by the Government, opinion also varies:

14% of them see it as "somewhat" or "very" serious

and 5.1% less serious To the subject.

Among those who had already defined that they were not going to vote for the ruling party, 37.7% prevailed who see it as serious (very or somewhat) and there is 5.7% who relativized it.

Finally, as a result of the failure of the President himself, the study asks about

"how willing would you be to comply with new isolation measures proposed by the national government, due to the coronavirus crisis

?"

The

46.8% is expressed "very" or "somewhat" willing

, while

48.7% said they would be "little" or "nothing"

willing to respect a strict new quarantine if the President so requests.

The electoral climate before "the photo"
