Good news for the city of Geretsried: The municipality receives funding from the special fund for revitalizing inner cities, which the Bavarian Ministry of Construction has launched.
Geretsried - This is confirmed by Thomas Loibl, the city's press spokesman, when asked by our newspaper.
According to Loibl, a good 120,000 euros were promised.
As reported, the city had submitted a corresponding application in order to benefit from the funding.
The administration submitted a needs assessment to further upgrade the new center.
According to this, for example, an urban city center management, a project fund for city center development, an improved connection of the parking lot on the Böhmwiese, a parking guidance system and a digital information column are conceivable.
Up to 80 percent of the costs are eligible
The ministry grants a grant of up to 80 percent.
In other words: if the city spends 150,000 euros, it will get 120,000 euros back from the state.
The press spokesman reports that the economic development agency in the town hall is currently coordinating with the government of Upper Bavaria.
A separate application must be submitted for each individual measure, which is then evaluated in turn.
The EU also supports inner cities
In addition to the special fund to revitalize inner cities, there is now also a Bavarian EU inner city funding initiative.
"We have successfully negotiated with Brussels and are now also supporting our inner cities with EU funds," announced Building Minister Kerstin Schreyer.
"Bavaria's cities, markets and municipalities will receive a further 36 million euros." This is a response to the great demand in the centers.
Here the funding rate is even 90 percent.
Municipalities can apply until September 30th.
