Two people died in turn in the mountains this Saturday, in Briançon and Villar-d'Arêne, in the Hautes-Alpes.
At around 12:15 p.m., a hiker was indeed killed near the Glacier Blanc refuge, near Briançon, according to BFMDICI.
The 60-year-old man suffered heart failure on the trail.
Fifteen minutes later, an alert fell for a 33-year-old paraglider, having had a fatal fall in Villar-d'Arêne, according to mountain rescue services.
A sailing accident
The man and a companion had climbed La Meije, a mountain in the Oisans, straddling Hautes-Alpes and Isère, when the first decided to take off, indicates the PGHM of Isère, who found the death.
"His sail would have closed, he then went into a torch before crashing to the ground," said the same source.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the death of the thirty-something.
On Friday, a 60-year-old paraglider was found dead in Puy-Saint-André (Hautes-Alpes) after crashing into the trees.
