A tragic episode, as a consequence of carelessness,

ended in the murder of the 21-year-old woman at the hands of her youngest son

Everything was visible in the video call that the woman was making, leaving witnesses stunned.

According to the police report released last Thursday.

The child was playing while the woman made a video call through the Zoom platform

, it was then that the minor ran into the weapon that did not have safety and fired the shot at the young woman.

Someone at the conference who was known to be related to Lynn's work called 911 and

reported that they had seen a small child and heard a noise before the woman fell backward

, authorities explained in the statement.

Shamaya Lynn was 21 years old and the mother of two children.

The episode in which Lynn, 21, was killed by an inadvertent mistake by her son (whose age was not disclosed) happened on Wednesday, in the town of Altamonte Springs, near Orlando.

When paramedics came to the scene to try to save the young mother, it was too late.

"Investigators determined that the injury was caused by a small child who found a loaded pistol, which an adult left unsecured in the apartment,"

Altamonte Springs police officers said in the text released to the media.

Police said

Lynn was shot in the head.

The police statement did not identify the relationship, but NBC reported that a police officer unofficially reported that

she was the child's mother.

Investigators said the gun belonged to the father of the victim's two young children

, the station reported.

None of the children was injured and after the incident they were left in the care of other family members.

The case is under investigation and no charges have been filed.

"The investigation is ongoing and detectives are working

closely with the Seminole County State Attorney's Office

regarding any charges that may be appropriate for the owner of the firearm,"

 the statement added in the statement. Altamonte Springs Police.
