Inspector Chen Shizhang of the fifth team of the criminal investigation team of the Yau Tsim Police District explained the case that the police received a report in mid-July that two female supermarket employees were suspected of impersonating torture claimants and were used by non-governmental organizations in the supermarket where they worked. After receiving the report, the police arrested two female supermarket employees on suspicion of "conspiracy to defraud", and found food cards issued by NGOs to 6 non-Chinese people and a batch of food cards in exchange for items from them. Receipt.

Police investigations revealed that the two arrested persons purchased a food card with a face value of 1,200 yuan from a non-Chinese person for HK$750, and then forged the signature of the food card holder to buy food and daily necessities for their own use in the supermarket where they worked.

After they succeed, they will return the receipt and food card to non-Chinese people so that they can return to the NGO to recharge.

The police subsequently successfully locked 6 food card holders, including 3 Indonesian women, 1 Nepalese woman, 1 Pakistani man, and 1 Bangladeshi man. They were in Yau Tsim, yesterday (13th). Six people were arrested in Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po police districts, ranging in age from 23 to 50.

The police urged citizens not to purchase food cards issued by NGOs to torture claimants from others because of temporary greed, and to pretend to be food card holders in exchange for food. Such acts have triggered the crime of conspiracy to defraud.

The police also reminded food card holders not to sell food cards to others.

The police emphasized that the food cards issued by non-governmental organizations mainly support the basic needs of torture claimants while they are waiting for the results of their applications. They are not used to help them exchange food cards for cash.
