The Taliban has occupied a province near the capital, and the United States is beginning to evacuate the embassy
Within three weeks the organization had succeeded in conquering 19 of the 34 districts in the country, and now its people are only 11 miles from Kabul.
While the US is withdrawing its last forces in the region, the country fears the completion of the military takeover of the terrorist organization, or the development of an ongoing civil war

The Taliban has expanded its area of control in Afghanistan and is approaching the outskirts of the capital, Kabul, Afghan officials said today (Saturday).
According to sources, the terrorist organization is stepping up its steps towards the capital while launching an extensive attack on one of the northern cities in the province, where it is battling skilled forces of the Afghan army.
At the same time, the United States began evacuating its personnel from the U.S. embassy in Kabul.
So far, Taliban fighters have occupied much of northern, western and southern Afghanistan in a vigorous offensive lasting less than three weeks, while the United States withdraws its last forces in the region, raising fears of the organization's full military takeover or ongoing civil war.
The Taliban has occupied the entire Luger province, south of the capital Kabul, and arrested local officials, according to Huda Ahmadi, a lawmaker from the province.
She said the Taliban had reached Char Asiab province, just 11 kilometers south of Kabul.

The fighters also captured the capital of Patika province, which borders Pakistan, a provincial official said.
He said the fighting broke out in Sharana this morning according to local time, but ended after local veterans intervened to negotiate a withdrawal.
He said the governor and other officials surrendered and were on their way to Kabul.
Also, members of the terrorist organization also took over Garda, the capital of the province of Faktia, as well as Harat and Kandahar, the second and third largest cities in the country.
In fact now, the Taliban control 19 of the 34 provinces in Afghanistan, leaving the Western-backed government in control of provinces in the center and east, as well as Kabul and Mizra a-Sharif.
The President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, delivered a speech today, in his first public appearance since the Taliban's significant achievements.
Ghani vowed not to give up the "achievements" of the 20 years that have passed since the United States overthrew the Taliban in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

At the same time, the United States continued its peace talks between the parties in Qatar this week, and the international community warned that an attempt to overthrow the Taliban leadership by force would not be accepted.
However, based on the achievements of the organization in the war against the Taliban, it seems that its people have no interest in making concessions.
The withdrawal of foreign forces and the rapid withdrawal of Afghanistan's forces - despite the hundreds of billions of dollars given to the country over the years as part of US aid - raises fears that the organization will return to power as it did after the Soviet withdrawal in 1989. The
first US troops arrived yesterday.
The rest of the forces, numbering about 3,000, are expected to arrive by tomorrow.
