The Israeli occupation continues to implement its plans to Judaize Islamic and Christian holy sites and expand settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories in clear defiance of international legitimacy resolutions and principles of international and humanitarian law that the international community fails to enforce.

The National Office for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated in its weekly report issued today on its website that the occupation authorities announced a plan to build a settlement bridge linking the Al-Buraq Wall and the western wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque to the mosque to facilitate the incursions of settlers and the occupation forces into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock.

The report pointed out that the occupation forces also began carrying out excavations in the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron to build a road and a settlement bridge that would facilitate settlers' incursions and pave the way to seize its yards and historical sites in its vicinity to Judaize them.

The report pointed out that the occupation announced a plan to establish 2,200 new settlement units on Palestinian lands in the cities of Jerusalem, Al-Bireh, Nablus, Bethlehem, Qalqilya, Ramallah and Salfit in the West Bank. The settlements established in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 to implement the colonial annexation plans.

The report indicated that the occupation, on the other hand, intensified the demolition of Palestinian homes, as the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) documented the demolition of 421 Palestinian buildings since the beginning of this year, 81 of them in occupied Jerusalem and the rest in various parts of the West Bank, which led to the displacement of 592 Palestinians, including 320 children, an increase in demolitions of 24 percent compared to the same period last year.

The report pointed out that the occupation forces demolished last week a residential building in the Bir Ayoub neighborhood in Silwan town and 7 homes in the town of Beit Hanina in occupied Jerusalem, which led to the displacement of dozens of Palestinians. He is worshiped in Jenin, and I was notified of the demolition of several facilities in the towns of Al-Khader and Tuqu` in Bethlehem.

The report stated that the settlers continue to attack the cities and towns of the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces, as they seized areas of Palestinian lands in the village of Ein Yabroud in Ramallah to establish a new settlement outpost, stormed the archaeological sites in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, and cut down dozens of perennial olive trees in the lands of the village of Al-Jaba’ in Bethlehem and prevented Palestinian farmers from accessing their lands in the village of Kafr Rai in Jenin.
