The vaccination campaign in the Pöckinger Beccult on Friday could be described as a success.

50 people came to be vaccinated against corona, for 36 it was the first vaccination.

The increasing pressure on non-vaccinated people certainly played a role.

Pöcking

- The BRK's mobile vaccination team is doing its job this Friday in Pöcking as always.

People can be spontaneous

come, may have to wait a bit and then they can decide which vaccine is best for them. Some take Johnson & Johnson because they are considered fully vaccinated with one vaccination, others prefer Biontech-Pfizer to have the chance of higher protection against the Delta variant. Everything as usual, and yet it's a little different. It is the first vaccination day after the federal government announced the end of the free corona tests.

For some it was a motivation to come to Pöcking, but not for everyone.

50 people came to Pöcking, 36 of them were vaccinated for the first time.

Half of the 50 people who were vaccinated were younger than 40 years old, and eleven young people under the age of 18 were also there.

Many who were vaccinated took the opportunity to come spontaneously and without an appointment for an injection with the vaccine.

For example Jürgen Hocke from Inning.

The 53-year-old travels a lot around the world for professional reasons.

This has been made much more difficult for him since Corona.

“I have 30 PCR tests and a lot of rapid tests behind me,” he says.

“The most expensive test was in Barcelona, it cost 220 euros.” But without it, he would not have been able to take his plane to Istanbul.

The fact that he is only now trying to get a vaccination is due to his deadline pressure.

"If I don't know whether I'll be home the day after tomorrow, it's difficult to make an appointment with the family doctor." So he was relieved when he heard about the day of action in Pöcking.

It was the same for Ulrike Blum from Pöcking, but for different reasons.

The 59-year-old works in the Germeringer hospital and fell ill with corona in February, immediately after her first vaccination.

No one at the vaccination center could tell her how she got the second vaccination.

“It always means get vaccinated, then I'll get such a rebuff.” She takes the opportunity to get rid of her criticism when she sees District Administrator Stefan Frey and BRK boss Jan Lang.

The latter apologizes.

“The employees follow the guidelines,” he says.

Ulrike Blum accepts that, she is happy that she got her second Biontech syringe in Pöcking.

Lisa Schulz (31) from Pöcking has a completely different motivation.

She is pregnant and came on the advice of the pediatrician, gynecologist and midwife.

"My friends who are pregnant have also been vaccinated." That gives her a feeling of security.

"My little daughter is in kindergarten and the vaccinated are becoming more and more careless."

Markus Funk (25) from Lower Franconia uses the opportunity to get his second vaccination in Pöcking.

So he can visit his sister there longer.

For him, the pressure that non-vaccinated people experience is a “compulsory vaccination through the back door”.

He bowed to the pressure and had himself vaccinated.

Gina Kottlow from Tutzing sees it similarly.

"So far I was of the opinion that I am young, I don't need the vaccination," says the 26-year-old.

She is not convinced of their effect.

"Six people from my circle of acquaintances got it despite being vaccinated." This also means that the argument that you no longer infect anyone is no longer valid.

She was piqued anyway.

"I would rather have recovered than vaccinated."

District Administrator Frey is happy about everyone who gets vaccinated.

"Every vaccination is important, which is why such days of action are almost always worthwhile." But it should be 50 to 60 people, he says.

That worked in Pöcking.

More days of action are to follow.
